Hey lovelies, so if you didn’t know I went to Venice recently and when I was there I had a lot of euros left over that I didn’t spend so I went to Sephora and treated myself to some Kat Von D bits, because why not?
I have tried both the everlasting liquid lipsticks and the studded lipsticks before and I knew for sure that I preferred the studded lipsticks. I’ve recently started to be a bigger fan of lipsticks to liquid lipsticks. So I wanted to pick up something that was a pink or a nude, I was only going to buy one thing but I was so in love with the mother liquid lipstick and the Lolita studded lipstick. In the end I went for the Lolita studded lipstick as I’m in love with the shade and it’s just so pretty and perfect for everyday use. The lipstick I believe was €17 which I thought was pretty good.
After I picked up the lipstick I saw the store also had some Kat Von D sets, they had the miniature set of liquid lipsticks and both my friends bought them the night before and I wasn’t a fan of some of the darker shades in the box. I have quite a light complexion and dark purples and browns don’t always look good on me, they look awful. I liked the lighter colours but I wasn’t going to spend €50 on something I didn’t love. I then saw the set of lipliners and that it included the Lolita liner, with two other really beautiful shades. I had to buy it and for €35 I thought it was a steal as it was technically still cheaper than two liners. The packaging for the box is also so pretty – Kat Von D packaging is always stunning though, and the metallic on it was such a great touch.
As far as the lip liners go, the only one I’ve currently used is Lolita – it has a really great consistency and applies so well. I find some lip pencils can be a hassle but this glides perfectly and is easy enough to get off if you over apply or get it outside your lips ( I do this almost everytime). The liner also lasts so long, I wore it for a full day and it didn’t budge with the lipstick. I do believe that you’ll get a very good amount of usage out of the liner too. The other shades included where a Hawkwind and Homegirl!
I definitely want to invest in some more lipsticks and liners now, with Lovecraft and Hellbent being the next studded lipsticks I want to purchase. I’d love to know if you’ve tried any Kat Von D products and if not are there any that you’re eyeing up?
