Hey lovelies, so a little while back I joined and was accepted into the Seventeen Blogger Network, being a massive fan of there products I was happy to receive some lovely samples from them. I have used there makeup before and I regularly buy it so I really did enjoy getting sent some bits!
One of Seventeen products that I received and I’ve never tried out before was one of their palettes. I got the Easy On The Eye Palette, which has eight matte, shimmer & pearl powders, 3 metallic creams and eye primer. The shade names in order are Twilight Blue, Onyx Black, Cocoa Brown, Slate Grey, Smoky Marble, Cloudy Lilac, Wild Khaki, Warm Ivory, Cool Aluminium, Pink Flush, Illuminated Bronze and the Eye Primer.
All of the matte shades are really pigmented and apply really well. I did use a different brush to that in the palette, I found there was a little bit of powder fall off but nothing too much. The metallic creams are beautiful they’re so buttery and soft and blend like a dream. The mattes also applied really well but I would have to say I prefer the metallic creams. My personal favourites shades being Smoky Marble, Cool Aluminium and Illuminated Bronze.
I then got the Mega Matte lipsticks. When these came out I brought a few from the range with my personal favourite being Looking Buff, which is a perfect pinky nude – very similar to that of Mac’s Mehr but slightly lighter. I love the mega matte formula it’s very matte and dries really well. It stays on a significant amount of time for the price of the product and I’ve found that it doesn’t need a liner underneath it!
I was sent Back To The Fuchsia and Violet Summer both are colours super out of my lipstick range! I don’t any Fuchsia shades because I have brought pink dye die and I’ve never been ready to cross that line, but I found that it applied beautifully and looked really good on me. So if bright pinks are your thing then this is something you definitely need. Violet Summer, I was really disappointed in though if I’m honest. The formula was a lot more streaky than the other lipsticks in the range and I found it super hard to apply, and it was then very patchy on the lips. I know that this can happen with matte lipsticks but I felt it let down the range because all the other shades I’ve tried apply so well!
I really love the quality of the makeup and I’m super happy to be part of the Seventeen Blogger Network. If you’ve used any of there makeup I’d love to know what you thought of it, I’d love to hear!
