Hi, I’m Kayleigh I’m in my mid-twenties navigating this thing we call life. I have a passion for writing, and oversharing, hence this little space of mine on the internet. I started this creative space as an outlet for my free time during university, over the years I’ve grown with it, it’s evolved me into the person I am today and I’m so thankful that I started this website.
My main calling in life when I’m not typing until 2am is art, I’ve done an undergraduate degree in Fine Art and a Masters Degree in Fine Art with a speciality in Painting. I spend a-lot of my time reading about art theory, browsing exhibitions or creating paintings in my studio. I love travelling to see paintings, I’ve been lucky enough to see exhibitions in Paris, Rome, Venice and America. I can’t wait to be able to freely travel and see all the best paintings the world has to offer. I’m hoping to be an academic writer one day, writing art guides and art theory books. But right now that is a pipe dream.
My other passions include helping people make money, blogging, classical literature, food, horror and experiencing different cultures. I have a weak point of cinematography, you’ll often find me tucked up watching movies from the 70s/80s/90s, especially Japanese horrors or cult favourites. Since finishing university, I’ve also been attempting to become a better cook which is why you may see the odd food post in this space, I’m working towards having a completed vegan diet.
I’m currently undertaking a PhD with a thesis in painting and sculpture at one of the finest art colleges in London. I’m working hard on becoming my best self and creating my dream life. I’m doing it part time and still have 4 years left to go. I got a pleasant extension due to time lost during isolation.
In this space expect to see lots of tips about making money and improving your finances ( I’ve recently paid off over 8K in debt via blogging and I would love to help others make more money/pay off debt if I can). I’m currently saving for a house deposit to buy my first house, and will sharing my journey as first time buyer. I share regular blogging tips, as someone who has been blogging six years, lifestyle posts, fashion, lifestyle and university posts. I hope you stick around and enjoy what you read.
