Hey lovelies, a few weeks back I was lucky enough to receive one of these amazing Rose Gold Eyeshadow Pallettes in the post! I have some very mixed reviews on this palette and I’m still not sure what I think about it.
First up, how gorgeous are these shades. I love everything rose gold and the variety of gold, browns and pinks is awesome as well as some lighter shades. The palette is a mixture of matte and shimmery shades. Now heres the tricky bit I absolutely loved the shimmer shades and hated the mattes and normally I don’t like shimmers. The palette has 35 colours and is priced at £22.99
The matte formula was so chalky, hard to blend and had some much fall out. I was really disappointed by this to be honest, after trying the crown brush brushes I had expected slightly more. I found that when applying the mattes and trying to blend with them that half the shadow would have fallen over my eyes and face, and although the colours are gorgeous the formula just let them down so much. The matte also gets falloff all over the palette as well which got into some other shades it wasn’t ideal.
The shimmers on the other hand were AMAZING. Now I don’t say this very often but these were so light and so creamy (as far as eyeshadows go) and so glittery. I found they were perfect to blend and looked so beautiful on. I was so surprised by the difference in quality if I’m honest. You could honestly use this shimmers as a highlighter they’re so glittery and shimmery and would make your face pop.
The overall packaging for the palette is really nice as well, it comes in a sleek black palette with the Crown Brush logo, it does feel very light but thats just me being picky. The palette came inside a very well packaged box to. I’m not sure if I will use this palette a lot in the future because I will only touch the shimmer shades.
I hope this review was helpful to you and I’d love to know if you’ve every purchased anything from Crown Brush before.
