Hey lovelies, well July has pretty much been the best month of this year for me hands down. I’ve achieved some really amazing things and I thought I’d share them with you.
- I graduated University – Probably the best achievement of my year so far! It was a great day, unfortunately I was so nervous and my depression was awful on the day but I got through it and the important part is I graduated. I’m actually super self conscious so the idea of having photos taken for a large percentage of the day was also a massive mood killer, and the day made me miss Northampton so much. Roll on starting my Masters in September.
- I exhibited artworks in London – This is probably most aspiring artists dream to step out of their degree and exhibit in London straight away. It was an amazing experience, I commuted to London everyday during the setup, opening night and invigilating everyday for the show, and whilst it was knackering I got some amazing opportunities out of it. I was lucky enough to recieve two internship offers, unfortunately I couldn’t accept because of doing my masters and I met some amazing Curators and Gallerists which was life changing.
- My blog turned two – I didn’t start blogging until September 2015 my blog was set up on the 14th July 2015 making it two years old. I don’t feel like I’ve been blogging two years at all, which just shows you how quick time flies when you’re having fun!
- I achieved some amazing blog opportunities – This month I was added to both the Urban Decay and Rimmel Pr lists and it was honestly such an amazing achievement. I’ve been working so hard on my blog the past two months and it was so good to know that brands are interested enough to work with me. I also hit a combination of 10K followers on social media this month and it was amazing too, I’m blown away by how many people follow my little blog and want to see my tweets about cats, art and lots of other useless things haha.
- I achieved all my fitness goals – This month I’ve been to the gym 23/28 days and I’m honestly so proud of myself. Three months ago getting on a treadmill was the most daunting task and now I run 3-5 miles everyday. I’ve almost doubled how much weight I can lift in just over a month, I feel so comfortable at the gym now too. I’ve also been going swimming multiple times a week which has been so refreshing too. I’m thinking of writing some fitness posts – let me know if this is something you’d like to read.
- I started the reading for my Masters – This month I decided the topic and my dissertation title, and I’ve done a lot of reading for it this month. I’m at a point where I’ve planned my chapters and if I could I’d start writing already. I’m so excited to get back to doing what I love. I’ve had so much time to read about paintings it’s been amazing ( yes I’m aware how lame that might seem).
- I set up my own comment swap hour – I know that people have really mixed views on comment swaps and that’s fine. I started up #BloggersCommentSwap every Wednesday and Saturday at 7pm if anyone wants to join, and enjoys comments swap! I’ve done one so far and it was a really great experience.
I’m so proud of myself this month for achieving so many things, I hope everyone else has had a lovely month.
