Hey everyone, I’m just going to start this post with being the most negative Nancy and say I fucking hate summer, tit sweat, sun, hair humidity; it just ain’t for me. I’ll take autumn/ winter/ spring any day of the week. This year I want to use my time so productively so here is a few things I’d like to smash.
- Use my studio time productively – Getting to the studio as much as possible over the summer is my aim. The space costs me £111 a month and honestly I don’t get to it as much as I would like. Also summer weather is a little bit better suited to quick painting, and maybe I’ll even share a post of my space on the blog. Who knows. Plus I just want to make all the art.
- Set up an active print store – I’ve been making so many prints lately and I think I’m at a place where I would like to sell some so that they could go to new home. It is also really nice to make a little bit more money.
- Write more – I think that’s a given. When I have time I just want to write, write write. I’ve started to post more regularly and I’ve been enjoying have more time to write for fun, it’s such a nice refreshing change.
- Actively schedule posts – Why I have the time to write, I have the time to schedule so hopefully I’ll be able to get plenty of it done. It also means that I am able to keep posting around my hectic work schedule and continue to make art as well.
- Workout a little – I stopped going to the gym about a year ago but I still want to be good to myself and look after myself. I have a job where I’m on my feet all day and do a hell of a lot of running around, so gym workouts aren’t always for me but hopefully I’ll be able to find a routine that works for me. Maybe a workout app.
- Declutter – I honestly think that it would scare the normal person, to see how many books I have, the pure amount of art shit, clothes, and clutter. I’m hoping to depop/ebay somethings and the rest will just go to the local charity shop.
- Stop talking to boys – Honestly in the last month or so I’ve just realised that actually being with someone right now just isn’t for me. The frustrations I’ve been having with potential male partners has literally just made me want to hop out of dating forever, no jokes haha.
I’d love to know what your plans are for the summer, let me know in the comments!
