Hey lovelies, honestly I know for the most part I moan a lot about how shit things have been but today I thought I’d share some good things that have happened to me this year, cause it’s not all been bad and sometimes it’s easy enough just to focus on what’s wrong in your life.
I started actively blogging again – It’s been a slow start don’t get me wrong and it’s only really happened in the last few months but I’ve made a small amount of time too write each and everyday and I’m proud of that if I’m honest. I’ve always enjoyed sharing things on my lil section of the internet and I’m so happy I can do that again. Hopefully I’ll be able to keep it up for many more months.
I got a new Mac – Now my previous Mac died with 50K words of thesis on which made me cry for around 300 hours. Alas I was lucky enough that my grandparents bought me a new one, and honestly it shock me, they showed up three days after it died with a new one in hand, a black one, customised with everything I needed on it. I have never felt so grateful in my life, I cried so much I didn’t deserve it and my grandparents are pure legends.
Phone Upgrade – My old IPhone died mere days before my mac, it was a troubling time. I cancelled my contract with EE and took out a new contract with O2 and got the Google Pixel 3A XL. Switching is honestly one of the best things that I’ve ever done and I don’t even miss my IPhone anymore. Plus the pixel camera is next level and SO much cheaper than any IPhone I’ve ever had so I’m over the moon.
I graduated my Masters – Honestly getting a distinction for my masters and graduating was such a massive success for me. My previous graduation is plagued with bad memories of my ex, body confidence issues, and genuinely it was an awful day. This time round I wore a tight body con dress COVERED in glitter and sequins and walked that stage like a sparkly goddess and I felt amazing. I also got really drunk afterwards.
I had writing published – Now I’m not bragging because it was less than 400 words but I had some art writing published in an arts magazine in May and it made me feel like my hardworking has started to pay off. I’m continuously writing art pieces and applying to open calls so hopefully more things like this will happen to me.
I paid off some major debt – I’m not completely there, but for the most part almost all my debt is paid off. I hope to have this all paid off by the end of the year but I’m getting there and improving my credit score every step of the way!
I’d love to know what things have been good for you this year, let me know in the comments I’d love to know all about it.
