Hey lovelies, today I have something special for you which includes an incredible little giveaway from Japan Candy Box. They kindly sent me over one of their April Box’s which has a Sakura Celebration theme! This experience was super exciting because I’m a massive fan of Japanese snacks, I actually collection the international flavours of Kit-kats. So let’s have a look at the box. Also there’s a giveaway for a chance to win your own box.
The box was sent to me after the UK went into lockdown so I expected a 6-8 week wait as I know my local Royal Mail service is experiencing delays. I got my confirmation on the last days of March, and the box arrived the first week of May. For international delivery I think this is a pretty time frame, never mind international delivery in the middle of a pandemic. So massive thumbs up.
The Box
The box includes 10 selected treats, and there was an incredible variety of bits. The box was well wrapped, and had the cutest tissue paper around the treats. One of the products in the box was broken but that’s due to how I opened the box with some scissors! ( The item I broke was the Morinaga Easter Strawberry Chocoball – which is a strawberry chocolate ball with a cocoa- flavoured cookie centre). The treats change month to month too so you never know what you’ll get!
The Content
Tirol Sakura Mochi Chocolates – These are so chewy and delicious, why the texture was really different I really enjoyed them.
Yamayo Kuroi Kinako San Mochi – These are a very interesting yet weird snack for me, the texture was so squishy and the inside had a black honey syrup centre.
Nazo no Oshiri Butt-Shapped Candies – Yes you heard that right. Butt shaped candies. They have such an incredible flavour which is quite sweet and peachy ( excuse the obvious pun). I’ve heard they change colour to but I honestly devoured them in seconds.
Chip Star Salty Sakura Potato Chips – This might have been my favourite thing from the box. They have such a unique aftertaste and it so good. So much better than any uk Pringles I’ve ever had in my life.
Umaibo Shrimp & Mayonnaise Snack Stick – This is the product I was least keen on, why I love the taste of shrimp and mayonnaise I just didn’t like the texture so much.
Koala’s March Easter Chocolate Cookies – These were honestly so adorable, and they came in a koala shape. The taste was sweet and very chocolatey. An absolute win.
Lotte Easter Custard Cake – The custard filling in this was incredible. I don’t think I’ve ever tasted a sweet treat like it and I hope I’ll be able to get a hold of more. The cake had such a lovely texture.
Cream Collon Sakura & Matcha Biscuit Rolls – Matcha is one of those flavours that I absolutely adore, the rolls are more of waffle texture, but they are incredible. The cream has a fruity cherry flavouring and it is awesome.
Pretz Crispy Pizza Biscuit Sticks – When I opened these I thought they were some type of Pocky but they genuinely taste incredible. I hope that I’m able to find these to buy in the UK.
Make sure to enter because you don’t want to miss out on one of these amazing japan candy boxes! They’re so tasty. Have you ever tried any Japanese treats, if so let me know in the comments.
