AD | Maybe it’s your wedding day, your 50th birthday or perhaps you’re looking for somewhere to host a corporate party; either way, there are plenty of amazing party venues around the UK that you can look into. As well as planning and paying for the party, finding a unique venue that doesn’t mimic what your friends and family have done before can be quite challenging. I have teamed up with a wedding venue in Somerset to offer you some ideas, which will hopefully take some of the stress away.
1) Private Schools
There are some absolutely beautiful independent schools all around the UK. The chances are you’re not far from one yourself, so if you’re after something striking and elegant, have a look into it as one of your options. You don’t have to worry about where the food will be prepared, as the school kitchens are perfect for the job, and there is usually plenty of space for a dancefloor.
2) Vineyards
A UK vineyard will give you that “destination wedding” feel, without having to get on a plane. The photo opportunities will be epic, which is always something to consider in today’s Instagram era, and there will be no chance of you running out of wine! Perfect for engagement parties, weddings and other special events, there are vineyards located all across the country; you’d probably be surprised how many there actually are.
3) Museums
Just as an example, The Natural History Museum in London has been hosting corporate and private events for over 20 years; they have around 140 functions each year. If there’s a museum not too far from where you live, why not look into whether or not they allow private parties, as this could be the perfect, unique option for you.
Of course, the type of party your hosting will have a huge influence on the type of venue, and it might be worth speaking to a party planner to take some of the pressure off.
