Today I’ll be going over some small way to support your favourite bloggers or content creators. Especially in 2021, and during the pandemic it is important to support your favourite content creators, bloggers and freelancers. You really don’t know how people may be struggling behind the screen, be that mentally, physically or financially!
Disclaimer links to my own products and affiliate links are present in this post.
Follow Their Socials
If you enjoy the content that a particular blogger creates it’s so easy to help them by following all their social medias, or the ones where you feel you could support them. Blogging isn’t always a numbers game, but it would silly to assume that brands don’t consider numbers and engagement when they’re looking at working with someone.
Your support on someones social media could help them get to that next landmark. Personally I’m looking to grow my Pinterest Account and my WordPress Followers!
Most bloggers really appreciate signups to their mailing list too, with many offering freebies if you do. This is an easy way to support your favourite bloggers.
Comment On Their Content
Fellow bloggers will understand the joy of waking up to engaging comments on their posts. It’s the feeling of joy that someone enjoys the content enough to engage with it, and really enjoyed the work you’re producing.
Having regular commenters is really great when brands check on your blog engagement, and it also increases the amount of returning visitors that a blogger will see on their Google Analytics. Which is why it might be beneficial to follow someones blog directly or mailing list if you’d like to continue to read their content and receiving notifications from them.
Support Their Sponsored Content
When a blogger collaborates with a brand, supporting their content can literally score them further collaborations. Not only is the engagement so heartwarming but it looks really good for the blogger. After all we want to see those we admire do well! Sometimes there is this idea that sponsored content means a blogger has sold out, which is unfortunately true in some cases but not in all.
If you do decide you love an AD they’ve posted, consider buying the product through the blogger regardless of if it is an affiliate link or not. If you do, and you are able to post social images, it works massively in favour of the blogger or influencer booking more jobs.
Click Their Ads
Most blogs display ADs, once you start hititng a certain amount of monthly views it a great way of making some money back. Normally you can find ADs in the sidebar of a blog, or embedded in posts or between posts.
Whenever I visit a blog I try my best to click on an AD or to purchase through it if I’m on the lookout for something. Again this costs absolutely nothing to do, and can really help a blogger out. In most cases cookie data means that if you purchase at a later date the blogger will still make some £££ from your purchase.
Share It If You See It
The power of a social media share really can lead to a blogger making an affiliate sale, selling a product, gaining a new subscriber or scoring a new AD.
If you’re on twitter and you see someones posted an AD, RT it, comment on it etc. If you see someones posted an AD on Instagram, like it, comment on it, share it to your stories. It really does make such a big difference and it’s such an easy way to support bloggers, and one that most will really appreciate.
Use/ Buy Their Services
Many bloggers have a side hustle and create products of their own, or have services they offer. For example all my products can be found in my Gumroad Store or services I offer can be found under my Resource Pages.
Services like this allow for bloggers to make regular income around sponsored work, or affiliate marketing where income can fluctuate massively, and occasionally be nonexistent.
Advertising slots are something that a lot of bloggers offer and can be so helpful to you if you own a website/blog, so win win.
As a side note, if you do buy anything from a creators Gumroad Store or Etsy, leave them a review, in the long run it will massively help them out. Every star review on my Gumroad Store helps my store be seen by more viewers.
Buy Through Their Affiliate Links
Using a bloggers affiliate link means that they will get paid a percentage of the sale price. It means that earn some £££ here and there at absolutely no extra cost to you. Fun fact I’ve bought absolutely everything for my flat through affiliate links. Those Gumroad and RStyle links can make a significant impact on a blogger’s income.
Any time I see someone has bought through my affiliate links I get so excited. Normally you can find a bloggers affiliate links on their feed, or on their resource/deals page. I normally locate mine at the bottom of my posts or on my resources page.
Don’t Rip Off Their Content
Inspiration is not flattery when you rip off someones blog. You can look up to a blogger and be inspired by them, but if your blog is almost a carbon copy of theirs, you’re not really supporting them. You’re ripping them off. There is a very heavy distinction between wanting to support a blogger because you ‘deem them successful’ and producing a blog and content identical to theirs.
If you are inspired by them simply start your post with acknowledging that by saying something along the lines of ‘ I saw this post by X and it inspired me to write this piece’
I’m adding this in as I’ve dealt with this a few time from bloggers who have said they’ve been inspired by me and love my blog. The latest instance being this week where someone purchased my blog theme, updated their mailing list to my host, stole an exact copy of my sign up to mailing list graphic (a paid for exclusive add on to my theme), and downloaded all of my blog images (stock images I’ve paid for).
There are honestly so many ways to support fellow bloggers or bloggers you like! I personally try to share any ADs I see or shoutout socials to support fellow bloggers.

I think a lot of people forget that the simplest little thing can make a big difference in a blogger’s life. It may only take you a couple seconds to hit share or comment on the blog post that you’re reading. While that probably seems like something small in the moment, that comment may come through just as that very blogger needs a boost. There are times that a comment or share on social media has been there to keep me going when I was most frustrated.

Big big yes to all of these! I always try to click on sponsored posts I see on my feed even if it isn’t my thing just to give them the extra views on their ads. And simple things like going on a little RT session can really help too. I think people forget that even if their platform is small, it still helps. And the majority of ways you can support are free too x

That’s so sweet of you! Good karma is on its way now to you.
I guess the major reason people forget and disregard helping you out even just by opening your site is because they don’t care and yes it can be frustrating to keep on releasing content with little to no support from friends, family etc. I wanna send this to them. Great post! Really loved it. From clicking on ads to a simple retweet. It really doesn’t take any time.

Awesome blogpost! I love how many ways to support there are. Some are so simple it’s easy sometimes to forget how much it helps!
Some great ways to support other bloggers here, especially clicking AD’s and just sharing their content. It takes 2 minutes but can mean the world! x
This is a great post! Waking up to comments or more page views can really boost the mood right? I always try to engage on others blog and leave comments, it’s easy and helps others. Thanks for sharing all these, I always find your posts very helpful x
These really are some of the best ways anyone can support bloggers. I know that so many of them work so hard to grow their platforms and possibly make a living from their blogs. As a blogger myself I know how much it means when someone leaves a comment, click on ads or buy through affiliate link so I try my best to do the same for other bloggers as well.

Since starting my blog I have really tried hard to help other bloggers because I know myself how hard to can be to grow and get your posts out there. This is a very helpful post x
These are great ideas of supporting others. Sometimes it is the ‘little’ things that can really mean the most, so sharing a post or even tagging in a #FF can really mean a lot!
Thanks for sharing!

This is such a great blog post. This year I am making an effort to try and support other bloggers as much as i can. Even if it retweeting someones blog post, just getting the word out about them can really help x
Great blog post! A lot of useful information a lot of us bloggers. I’m diving into a lot of new blogs lately and working to build a better supportive network & community too!
My jaw is literally on the floor at that last bit! What is the matter with people?
This is great advice and I like to think I am very supportive of others but I know there are a few of these that I do not do. I am going to make sure I start clicking ads and I really am overdue on my gumroad reviews…. She says while 2 of your guides are sat next to me on the table!
Such good tips. It literally costs just a few minutes of your time to leave someone a comment on a post you’ve enjoyed and I’m definitely making it my goal to do more of this 😊 x
Great tips. I definitely agree with you. It feels good to see other engage and comment on the content. Thank you for clarifying the last one because in case someone mix between ripping off and supporting them.
This is such a great post! It is so easy to support someone even just a follow or share on social media and it is free.
Great content right here,a little love goes a long way.
Great post!!
I don’t receive money for blogging, I’m not sponsored, I don’t have ads on my blog, every item I am reviewing is bought with my own money, as well as the products for my upcoming giveaways.
I blog for fun, I enjoy seeing my views go up and I love to share my mind.
But I have a paypal(dot)me link on my blog for future readers to maybe spare a dollar or two. I haven’t received that kind of support yet.
Thanks again for your awesome list of how to support bloggers. I’ll definitely use it for my fave blogs around!
xxxx Aga
Love this post. It’s so great to see you supporting other bloggers 🙂 x
These are some great ways to support fellow bloggers! I try my best to support as much as I can (what with working full time and writing my own content). I do think sharing content, commenting and even clicking on ads do really help others!
Amen! Love this!
I’m all for supporting my favourite content creators. I’m struggling with finding time at times (new mama) but I’m finding my feet/routine again to support my faves. I love that you’ve included even something like clicking on the ad – it doesn’t take much time but it helps! ♥️
Such simple advice, Kayleigh, but you’re right – it all helps. 💚
