AD | In the past year I’ve tried to become really savvy when shopping online. Cashback is one of my favourite ways to make that little bit of extra money when already shopping online. Since so many of my day to day purchases are made online. Here’s where My Money Pocket comes in, it’s an easy to use cashback site with so many of my retailers on it.
It’s been a hot minute since I’ve wrote a new finance post outside of my monthly income reports and I’m so excited to tell you about My Money Pocket. Who are a money-saving site with more than 4,500 brands that you can find discount codes and cashback for.
How Does My Money Pocket Work?
My Money Pocket works like most other cashback sites. You simply log in, search the site that you want to make your purchase with. Then my money pocket takes you to the site and you earn commission through the referral. It honestly takes seconds to do, once you’ve made your purchase you’ll get an email really quickly about your cashback.
The purchase stays as ‘pending’ in your account until the retailer check the sale wasn’t cancelled or refunded and complies with the terms and conditions for the website. Once you’ve met the terms and conditions of the sale, this will then appear as ‘confirmed’
How To Use My Money Pocket
When I joined MMP I was really interested in scoping out the brands that they had on board. I love cashback sites when they have companies that you’re regularly going to use. MMP’s popular categories are Takeaways (brands like Just Eat, Domino’s, Uber Eats and Deliveroo), Fashion (brands like ASOS, boohoo, JD, Adidas, Nike and New Look) and Utilities (with the biggest cashback rates, with some over £100, for BT Broadband, Virgin Media, Uswitch, Sky and more).
When you’re ready to purchase through MMP, you’ll search the brand you want through the search bar. Click on it and you’ll see a page like this.
Each and every brand has a different cashback rates. One I personally used was Etsy to buy from a small business that I love. I made a small purchase at £10.46 and earned 16p back. When I was testing out MMP I actually made a few purchases to all different brands, the ones I used the most where Just Eat & Uber Eats simply because we order a lot of coffee at my studio.
As you can see there are lots of great brands on the website. Since I didn’t make any ‘big’ orders I knew my cashback rate wouldn’t be through the roof. I also didn’t use any with a high cashback rate, but for the orders I did make I made £7.33. Most of my orders had the cashback confirmation email the same day, and then switched to ‘payable’ within 1-3 days. Some brands take longer than others to switch from pending to payable.
Making Sure Your Cashback Tracks Properly
When using My Money Pocket, you’re going to want your cashback to track properly so you’re receiving payment for all of your purchases. Under each and every brand there is a tab that tells you what will make you order not qualify. So if at any point you’re unsure you can check.
This is the advice from MMP to make sure your cashback tracks:
- Sign in to your my money pocket account before you make your purchase, otherwise we won’t be able to track it back to you.
- Always start your purchase at my money pocket
- Make sure you go the retailer’s site by clicking the get offer button on my money pocket
- Don’t visit any other sites while making your purchase
- Make sure cookies are enabled on your internet browser and firewall/security software.
- Spring-clean the cookies stored on your computer regularly
- Check my money pocket is added to your safe list on your ad blocker or deactivate it while making your purchase
If you do have any issues with your order not tracking you can email MMP for them to look into it. I personally didn’t have an issue with any of my orders.
Withdrawing Your Cashback
Once your order or orders have been processed, withdrawing your cashback is really easy. If you haven’t entered your bank details you will have to wait 24 hours before you can request your cashback. If you’ve entered your bank details, you can request your payment. Payment is via BACs direct to your bank account. Once you’ve requested your payment successfully you’ll get a notification saying ‘Your cashback request was successful. Please allow up to 7 days for this to reach your bank account.’
Making Extra Money
My Money Pocket do have a refer a friend scheme, and you know I love a referral/affiliate marketing scheme. You’ll get £5 once your referee has £10 cashback payable. If you’re a money blogger that is a win win situation because not only can you use it to make regular cashback for your orders but you’ll also get referral money for sharing it with your audience. Win, win if you ask me.
For the referral to be successful, your friend must click on your unique Tell-a-Friend link and sign up to the site on that click-through. For the Tell-a-Friend bonus to be applied to your account, your friend must authenticate their my money pocket account and earn a minimum £10.00 Cashback.
It’s so easy to do your weekly shop, clothes shopping and to save on your utilities. I couldn’t recommend it more.

I’ve always been intrigued by these cash back websites and weren’t sure if they were safe but it sounds pretty decent! Might have to give it a try!

This sounds right up my street, Kayleigh – I’m going to register on it since like you, I do loads of shopping online (probably 99% of my shopping!) so it’s nice to earn something back.

As Charlotte said I also rarely use those pay back sites since I don’t think they are all trustworthy. Since you have tried it and your experience from it was quite fair I think I might give this one a try.
Thank you for sharing!
