Guest Post | This is something that might happen to a lot of people. That’s part of life but I would like to share my perspective and tips that help me to go through it. Either you are a business owner or student, I’m sure we all have gone through it at least once. Here is How to bounce back from stress.
Stress can be a reason for stopping people from achieving their goals or enjoying their days and life. I will share my perspective and tips that help to deal with it and bounce back. It’s something I have been going through a lot to the point where I made a routine not to do when I stress. Even though it gets to me sometimes and it takes me a little longer to bounce back.
There are also two types of stress sources that I will be talking about in this post to know how to bounce back from stress. Before knowing how… I’m going to share what are these two. This will help you to determine which one you going through. I hope you guys find it helpful. Also, if you are going through it, please share which one the most and how do you deal with it.
I’m sure everyone went through the two or maybe one before. But, sometimes it’s a bit difficult to deal with and in this How to bounce back from stress. I will mention tips to help you deal with it and bounce back.
How to bounce back from stress
First, before we talking about anything. What is stress? Perhaps you know it because you went through it. But the actual meaning is that when you are under pressure or tension. It could happen to almost everyone in life because we can get under pressure from a lot of things.
It also means a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or very demanding circumstances. And this is what I’m also going to talk about in this post how to bounce back from stress.
Types of stress:
- A mental source of stress
- The physical source of stress
Well, I’m sure you can know what are the two means from just reading. However, how does it happen to us? The mental source of stress could be getting a lot of thoughts. For example, during a study or trying to plan something. You could get it from having a lot of thinking in a short time. And I would say this is easier to deal with because it doesn’t require a lot of effort. But, It depends on whatever you doing.
The second one is a physical source of stress. This one is when you trying to do something or build. During the process, you would be stressed by the number of things you want to do. Maybe how much time it will take to get it done. Ans also, stress by the short period you have.
There are a lot of reasons someone can be stressed. If we would count them, it would endless. However, you can know if it’s stress or when you are stressing. Therefore, it will be easy to deal with it and possibly avoid it by bouncing back quickly. And that’s what I will mention in this how-to bounce back from stress post.
The symptoms of stress
- Feeling all over the place
- Feel easily agitated, frustrated, and moody
- Trying to avoid others
- Feeling overwhelmed
Here are some symptoms that determine if you have stress or not. These are mental symptoms but there are also physical. For example, feeling Low energy or having a headache. Also, could be aches, pains, and tense muscles. Everyone might go through different symptoms but they all indicate you have stress.
Well, make sure to match more than one symptom because sometimes it might something else. Don’t mix things up and deal with them the wrong way. Because once you know what it is, it will be easy for you to know what to do for it. Some of them will be mentioned here on How to bounce back from stress.
What do I mean when I say bounce back? Well, either you are stressing during the process or over something when you not doing anything. You would be normally working on whatever with no stress. Get yourself back to a normal state and that’s what I mean by a bounce back from stress.
Like if you were stressing, you wouldn’t function normally. Maybe going through the symptoms I mentioned and bouncing back is going to normal. This way, you will continue doing whatever is normally and get it done. Sometimes stressing can cause you not to get things done. And that is one of the things that we don’t want.
1) Calm down
When you start to stress, there is no reason for you to keep going at the same pace. It will only get more difficult to control it and might stop at any point. The first thing that we need to do is taking control of how we feel and perform. Then, you can decide what to do after that. Which is the second one on the list of How to bounce back from stress.
For that to happen, you need to calm down and catch a breath. It’s okay to stop for few minutes. It’s better to stop and take control rather than keep going and lose it over being stressed. There are probably too many things that got you stressed.
Calming down will help you to organize your thoughts again. Which means you won’t have to stress anymore. If you keep doing whatever that stressing you out. It won’t be good for you or the process. Because it might ruin the process or something. So I highly recommend that when feeling stressed, the first thing to do is calming down and catching a breath.
Feeling all over the place means your thoughts are everywhere. And this is the best way to keep it in one place and focused. Getting yourself back. Also, feeling overwhelmed… catching a breath will help you to reduce it. That is going to help you to bounce back from stress.
This could take as long as you need. Don’t worry because if you do, that will only increase the stress. And no point in doing it if you keep stressing. But, if you calm down and just focus on catching a breath. It can be quick and short. You can do things that will help you to calm down as well.
2) Organize
Did you know that you could save yourself the stress beforehand? However, I’m assuming that you are already stressing. The best way to bounce back is by organizing everything. Starting with your thoughts and goal. Then, you can go over the process again and organize it in a way that makes it easy for you.
If you already organized it, there is a chance things get messy midway through the process. And that’s ok because it happens to everyone. Also, if that is not the case, you can narrow it, even more, to make it easier and suitable to your situation or where you at. At least until you get everything under control.
You could be stressing and feeling tired. And there are still more things to do. Narrow it down to less which you can take and still doing the important ones that should be done. This will help you to get things done and bounce back from stress.
Organizing depends on the time, how you feel, and how many you still have. Then, narrow down or reduce or whatever you do to a point where you can start over working on it without stress. From there, as you keep working, you can add more and finish more. Here are more tips that will help you to manage time and also task balance. It could help you with organizing things as well.
Maybe you stressing over a complicated project or something. Break it down into small things or steps. Take your time to learn more about it. Make sure to understand it because it will help a lot to continue and finish it. Otherwise, you just wasting time.
3) Build up the confidence
You need to take control and the only way is to build your confidence in yourself. Remind yourself that you got it. It’s going to get better. A lot of affirmation will help you. Lack of confidence is going to pull you even more down and that’s not how to bounce back from stress.
Maybe you feel a lack of confidence because of the environment and you can clean it and take a shower. That will help to get it back. And this is something I did before. It felt really good to take a shower and get back to work in a clean place. It boosts confidence in yourself. That will make you feel like you can do it which is something we need to bounce back.
The way how you respond to the problem can be in a positive way and good that will help you to get back and bounce back from stress. Don’t get back with the same as you started. It only will get you stressed more and lose control of the situation. Which is whatever you doing, you cant do it properly anymore. That’s a good way on how to bounce back from stress and make sure it won’t happen again.

I truly love how simplistic this is, because really – it can be THAT easy to bounce back from a stressful situation (physically or mentally). I appreciate this so much. I’ve definitely been feeling stressed after my big move, so I needed this reminder.

Some great advice. Sadly I’ve suffered from stress a lot lately. It’s quite horrible actually. I normally feel quite I’ll with it. Aches, pains and all sorts.
