AD Sponsored Post | With the warmer weather coming, it’s time to start thinking about how you’ll be looking after your well-being this summer. There are so many small changes you can make to really boost your mood. I personally prefer the winter months, I genuinely struggle to stay motivated or in a good mood during the summer months.
The summer is the perfect time to start catching some more vitamin D. The sun is shining and just 30 minutes in the sun will give you the adequate amount of vitamin D your body needs. So here are 5 Top Tips For Your Well-Being As Summer Approaches.
Look After Your Body
Sometimes a simple change in your routine can make all the difference to your body. In summer there are so many things that can affect you physically. These might be different for everyone, as not every activity or remedy is going to work for you.
When it comes to your beauty routine, you’re going to want to be including SPF into your skincare so that you’re better protected from the sun. Remember to wear sunglasses and limit the time you are outside in the sun, and your direct contact with the sun..
If you struggle with hay-fever you can try reducing your dairy intake (this has been know to help), improving your vitamin C intake, or eating anti-inflammatory foods. If you are struggling with allergies you can take an at home allergy test, there are so many benefits to getting tested if you do struggle with allergies.
With the heat you’re going to want to make sure that you’re staying hydrated too. Remember to drink plenty of water when you can. Drinking more water can improve your skin, mood and energy. It’s worth doing.
Watch Your Sleeping Routine
I spoke about this in my 8 Ways To Improve Your Night Time Routine but keeping an eye on your sleeping routine and monitoring any changes will do you the world of good. It can be really hard to sleep when the weather is warmer, and you feel too hot.
You might find that black out curtains and a thinner summer duvet or simple sheet will help keep you cool when the nights are hotter. Try loose fitting thinner pyjamas when you sleep so you don’t overheat.
Placing plants and flowers in the bedroom can purify the air, and thereby, to improve your sleep quality. They are good for your wellness mood and sleep. Seeing greenery around is not only visual beauty, it is also good way to relax and calm our minds. Just need to choose houseplants or flowers. MyGlobalFlowers as flower delivery company will help you out to select needful ones. The company covers many cities in the world, you can get flowers to your to door or send flowers to Paris, Rome, Copenhagen etc.
Keeping to a routine really helps, remember that you need to be thinking about turning off your electrics around an hour before bed, starting to wind down. Maybe read a book or have a glass of herbal tea to help you sleep, or even doing some journaling or planning for the next day!
You can also make your bedroom summer friendly by keeping it cool with a fan, or by opening a window to cool the room down.
Remember To Exercise Regularly
When the sun is out and about exercising can be the last thing on your mind, you might be thinking about hitting the seaside or drinking cocktails in your garden. Your exercise routine can help you with your wellbeing so it’s worth stilling to a routine of exercising regularly.
If you’re tired of you regular exercise routine at the gym you can mix it up for some swimming in the sea or in a local swimming pool. You could try doing some yoga or light exercising in the garden, even a light run why the sun is out.

Improve Your Nutrition
Eating well is something that you should be aiming to do all year round. There are so many ways to get healthier food in your summer diet. You could have a healthy light salad in the evening or use your BBQ to grill some healthy meats to have with nutritional salads and vegetables.
Healthy food really doesn’t have to be boring, you could make hearty salads with protein, couscous, fish and salad dishes as an example. You could roast vegetables and have them with pittas or in a grilled panini. There are so many great options. I’m personally very fond of a tofu salad, with teriyaki tofu, rocket, cherry tomatoes, peppers, spring onions, a little couscous, spinach and avocado.
There are so many great seasonal fruits and vegetables you can try to mix up your meals. If you have the time try and visit your local farmers markets. You could even try and grow your own vegetables at home, and eat those once they’ve grown.
Consider Creating A Vision Board
If you’re someone who enjoys visualising things, a vision board is a great thing to create to visualise your summer. This could be a summer wellness schedule if vision boards aren’t your cup of tea!
Try to take a few hours to find images, places, quotes and anything that may bring your focus or direction. You could make a time table of ways to fit in all the things you’d like to do over the summer, or small regular goals. This could be weekly or monthly depending on what your summer vision board entails.
Personally my summer vision board has some financial goals, health goals (mainly using the gym more now that it is open more during isolation), and having regular outside runs. It includes having a better skincare routine and drinking more water. Also reading more instead of spending so many hours on my laptop.
Remember there should be no holidays when it comes to maintaining your health and your wellbeing. Many people use the summer months to create a wellness routine that will help them long into the winter months.

SPF is so important! I hate it so much when you see people with hardly anything on and even worse if they oil up. One of my brothers is terrible for it. I literally cover-up and hate getting too much sun on me haha!
