Hey lovelies, this week I was invited along to Jamie’s Italian in Milton Keynes to try some delicious food, it was a great experience and my second time at a Jamie’s restaurant, I really enjoyed my experience and can’t wait to share it.
When we arrived at Jamie’s we were greeted by the loveliest waitress who took us to our table, gave us all the menus and got some water for the table. I personally picked the Berry Blast Mocktail, it was gorgeous and the taste of passionfruit and strawberry was absolutely heavenly! My boyfriend went for the Homemade Lemonade which was minty and tasted amazing.
We did consider having a starters, but I’m someone that would much rather have a desert than a starter and wanted to save myself. Instead we opted for a garlic bread to share – when it came our I was so surprised because it looked like rustic bread. The rosemary was such a nice touch and made the bread so nice – it was also the perfect size as we wanted something nibble on.
When it came to picking mains there was so many I wanted to try and I was so conflicted but then I saw that the special was a salmon linguine and that’s what I picked. Since the board explained the salmon as being in a white wine sauce – I was not expecting it to have have chilli in it but I was not disappointed. The sauce had a beautiful kick to it and the salmon was so beautiful and tender. The pasta was soft and you could taste how fresh it was. I was so happy with it and it was so filling, there was such a generous mount of salmon too.
My boyfriend went for the original beef burger and had it with chips, Jamie’s offer a four different types of chips and my boyfriend went for the garlic ones – and they were so good. I personally prefer my chips crispier but my boyfriend loved them. As for the burger he ate it in about three minutes so I assume he liked it!
After the mains both my boyfriend and I were so stuffed that we couldn’t handle a desert. Although if I had I’d have gone for the brownie or the sorbet. I had such a great time and me and my boyfriend have booked to go again in February for an early valentines meal.
