Hey everyone, since I wrote about my favourite spring trends I thought that I would write about my favourite summer trends. Why I’m not the most fashionable person, I am really loving fashion as I’ve been getting older haha.
Animal Print
I noticed that this was popular around spring time and I mentioned in my spring trends posts but honestly I’m living for it, I’ve really become a massive fan off snake skin print everything. I find you can really dress it up or down. I’m really enjoying the variation that it has been coming in too? Especially the really gorgeous red snake skin print I’ve been seeing a lot on denim skirts in New Look.
‘Paper Bag’ Waistline
I’ve got to be honest the paperbag style trousers and shorts make me look like a pastry BUT I really appreciate how it looks on other people. I think paired with the right top/shirt/tshirt they can look so sophisticated and I honestly wished it suited me better, but I’m still living for it.
Pastels
I’ve noticed a lot lately, especially in New Look that pastels are almost as popular as animal print right now, and I’m not going to lie I’m living for it. I bought the most gorgeous denim suit dress in pastel purple and it’s so classy but so fun at the same time. I have also noticed that pastel colour blocking is really popular as well.
Denim, denim, denim
Surely I can’t be the only person that is absolutely loving the ridiculous amount of denim, and how it is incredibly utilitarian, I love the coolness of it. It’s something you can really dress up or down. I also think the utilitarian will be big in the next few seasons.
I also noticed that Primark has an incredible amount of light blue denim dresses, especially the ones in the summer trendy Mumma Mia esq style, obviously I bought one, even though light denim does not suit me at all. I really like that denim dresses have become available in every colour and shape and size, and I appreciate that you can get them from Primark for like £10-£15 which makes them so affordable.
