AD Affiliate Links | With summer starting to become a distant memory, the time is coming to consider your fall wardrobe and what you might need to wear when the colder weather starts to hit. Fall is a season where the weather can be quickly interchangeable – I am sure we have all left the house in the morning wearing a sweater and regretted our choice by the afternoon as it starts to get warmer. The change in season doesn’t mean that you need to rush out and buy a whole new wardrobe but having a few fashion staples in your wardrobe can help you survive the changing weather.
A Sweater or Cardigan

This time of year, the weather is changeable so a sweater or cardigan that you can put on during days when the weather is colder is essential. That way, you know that whatever you wear for the day you have something warm that you can put on or take off as the temperature changes. Fall doesn’t call for a massive sweater to keep you warm, something lightweight that isn’t too much hassle is a definite must-have. That way, if you do have to take it off during the day and carry it around you don’t have something heavy to carry around with you.
A Pair of Jeans or A Dress

There are going to be days when the weather is wetter and as such, a decent pair of jeans to help keep you warm and dry is essential. If you aren’t someone that enjoys wearing jeans then a dress is a great alternative – because you then team this up with tights as and when the weather dictates you needing something warm or not. The great thing about a staple pair of jeans or a dress is that you can then dress them up or down if you have an event coming up or something that you need to attend for a special occasion. It’s also easy to change the look of a dress or a pair of jeans from day to evening if you are attending something after work.
A Jacket
Black Belted Long Coat and Cream Belted Long Coat
Without a doubt, having a jacket is a must for this time of year. That doesn’t mean that you need a massive waterproof winter coat because the weather during the fall season doesn’t often call for this. However a blazer type jacket or a trench coat is the ideal solution for this type of weather because the days are likely to be a little colder but we’re not at the stage where we’re expecting lots of snow and ice and as such, we don’t need to worry too much about a coat that offers that level of protection. Instead, an extra layer that you can put on and layer up over your dress and/or sweater of choice means that during the fall season you’ll have enough to make sure that you stay warm enough no matter what the weather day and how much it changes from day to day and indeed, throughout the day.
