AD | Whilst most of use are still waiting for Summer to show up in the UK, autumn fashion has started to make it ways into stores. Over the past few years I’ve grown to love fashion, and I look forward to seeing new seasonal trends. With the pandemic, there’s been a shift in fashion trends. This is visible in Autumn/Winters fashions trends.
There a few fashion trends I’m really excited for this year, but most of all I’m just excited to be leaving my house regularly and having something nice to wear. So today I’m sharing 5 Amazing Fashion Trends You Need Autumn 2021 for you to get behind!
Chunky Boots
There’s nothing better when autumn comes around, and you can put on some chunky boots, a skirt and jumper. Added bonus is that this year, chunky boots are one of the big trends. Rubber boots and flat ankle boots have seriously dominated the catwalk this autumn winter. They’re a classic shoe that can help dress an outfit up or down.
A fun fact I recently read is that Bottega Veneta, Ganni, Chloe and Balenciaga and many other major designers saw a 43% spike in searches for chunky and rubber boots this year. After a year of being in side I know it’s definitely time to invest in some seasonal boots. Why not check out these wholesale shoes.
Floral Everything
In 2021 florals have made a comeback. whilst florals have never really been out of fashion this autumn/winter they’ve made a big comeback. Particularly with outerwear and dresses. Antique and french florals are particularly in and they’re so easy to dress up and down. If you’re looking for a design that looks modern but classic then a floral jacket or outwear could be for you.
I personally love a floral jacket I think it can bring a pop of fun to any outfit. You’ll see a lot of french florals on coats this year.
Cut-Outs
Cut-outs is a trend I have a love hate relationship with. In the past seasons you might have seen cutouts creep into clothing. Usually I find them highly impractical. If I”m looking for a top, then 90% of the time I’m looking for one that comes as a complete piece. Having a mid chest cut-out of a neckline cut-out is not something that I would wear onto a day to day basis.
However with the holidays creeping up on us I do think that cut-outs have found their way into fashion again. Especially for nightwear and party wear. It can add a certain level of elegance to a dress, or just a fun and interesting shape to an otherwise plain outfit. For me the difference in a good cut-out comes from the placement and the garment. I know this will be a marmite trend for some people, as not everyone is confident or happy with a cut-out.
In particular black dresses have been one of the most of the popular choice for a slice. This trend can be seen in almost all high street retailers with crop tops with cut-outs.
Suits
As many of us have spent a lot of time working from home, it’s no surprise that suit have made a comeback as returning to work starts to happen. Suits have dominated the autumn winter catwalks for large fashion designers, especially pant suit designs. After a year being stuck inside, the allure of a tailored yet comfortable outfit is strong.
Many designers have paired their autumn winter suits with roll neck jumpers or flares, and it’s certainly a look that I could get behind this year. I’m personally very fond of a matching skirt and blazer combination, I think they look so classic and chic. Why not check out this wholesale clothing company for suit inspiration.
Extra Large Handbags
Not surprising but XXL bags have made a really big comeback this autumn. I won’t lie this is a trend I’m particularly happy about, I personally love have space in my bag for literally half of my house. Not only can a large handbag be the perfect statement to make with an outfit but it can be practical. Especially, you are student or just someone that takes a lot out with you.
Remember a few seasons ago when tiny clutch bags and handbags where in fashion? It was honestly a trend I could never get behind. I carry my laptop, coffee, half of my kitchen, masks, a purse, deodorant and perfume almost every-time I go out. The thought of having to cram everything into a clutch bag for a night out, no longer appeals to me.
I’d love to know what fashion trends you’re loving this year, there are a few that I love that didn’t make the list such as tartan and saturated colours, let me know in the comments.
