AD Sponsored Post | If you live in England like myself, you might be nervous for the upcoming ease in covid19 restrictions. I’m not going to lie I am very nervous for the next restrictions ease myself . As we get closer to returning to a ‘normal’ life I’m very conscious of the tragedy happening in India and in other countries around the world. Feeling this way is normal, you are allowed to be excited but nervous.
As we find a new normal, I’m going to be sharing 6 Ways To Look After Your Health As Lockdown Restrictions Ease. If the pandemic has taught us everything it is that health is indeed wealth.
Continue To Social Distance & Sanitize
One of the best things you can do when you go out and about is to stay cautious and protect yourself. Remember to wear your mask (if you’re able to), sanitise your hands upon entry to stores and restaurants, and social distance where possible.
Consider having lateral flows test done regularly (if you need to), you are able to order the lateral flow tests online now. I personally have a set, and do the test weekly as I go to the gym & spend time with my partner who does not live in my household.
Let the people you see and spend time with know what you are and aren’t confident with doing as lockdown eases. You can go at your own pace, whether that’s going out every other day or only going out to see one friend, it’s ultimately about what you are comfortable doing.
Try To Keep To A Sleeping Routine
Sleep has a such a large benefit to your health. When you’re able to go out for meals or to spend time with family members or your friendship you might find yourself staying up later at night and not getting good sleep. Why your routine may change as lockdown restrictions lift your sleep is something you want to ideally keep the same. The best thing you can do for your body is allow it time to rest.
If you’re in need of more information on how to improve your sleep routine, why not head over to one of my recent posts 8 Ways To Improve Your Night Time Routine.
Continue To Eat A Healthy Diet
Regardless of lockdowns one of the best way to look after you health is too keep to a good and healthy diet. You’re going to want to try to keep to a diet that includes your 5 a day.
It’s worth noting that high level of salt or sugar can make you feel sluggish and tired throughout the day. Which can contribute to higher blood pressure. If you decide to eat out a lot when restaurants are opened inside again it might be something to keep in mind if you have a higher sugar or salt intake.
Taking supplements might help you improve your diet, for many reasons it’s not always possible to have every vitamin you need. Popular supplements can be cod liver oil, Vitamin D, Vitamin C, multivitamins or iron tablets.
Having a good diet will help fight illness, fatigue and keep your body properly regulated. Which is so important to upkeep in a pandemic.
You’re also going to want to remember to drink plenty of fluids throughout the day. Dehydration can be a big issue. It can make you feel unfocused, faint and can cause headaches. If you’re in a situation where you wear a mask for many hours throughout a day, staying dehydrated will help you a lot. Doctors recommend 6-8 glasses of a water a day, so keep a water bottle on you when you’re out and about.
Wash Your Hands Regularly
Washing your hands regularly throughout the day can help fight off infections. As you go out and about as things reopen, try to be conscious of the germs that might be around. Handrails, doors, public bathrooms, keyboards, public transport, computer screens and phone screen can be exceptionally germy. Remember to wash your hands once you come in contact with items that may not be sanitised.
It’s also been suggested that you clean your hands any time before you eat, to reduce the risk of coming into contact with germs. You’re going to want to wash your hands for at-least 20 seconds with warm water and soap.
Keep Up A Fitness Routine
Going to the gym isn’t for everyone and that’s okay. In isolation you might have found that you went for walks daily or did a home exercise video (we all love a little Joe Wicks workout). When things re-open you might find that you stop going for walks or having regular exercise.
A really important part of your health is physical exercise, it can also have a really positive affect on your mental wellbeing. If you didn’t know exercise releases chemicals like dopamine, endorphins and serotonin, helping to improve mood and reduce stress.
It’s also been said that pure oxygen can help boost your energy levels, or help with sports injuries, why not check out The Oxygen Store to learn more.

Personally I won’t be doing anything different to my current routine when lockdown eases, I’ll still be working from home and going to the gym but that will be it. Let me know in the comments what you’re looking forward to as lockdown eases.

Sleep is so important, I have trouble with sleep, and it is something I am trying to address, and it is vital for looking after my health. I’m going to take on board a lot of what you have said, especially the oxygen store.

Love this post! I’m definitely feeling a little bit nervous for restrictions easing. That being said I feel like I’ve learnt a lot over the last year, things that I’ll be carrying on through ‘normal life’.

I’m incredibly nervous about the restrictions easing. I’ve been working from home for over a year now so I’ve barely seen anyone and can’t remember how to interact face to face with people!! Love these tips! 🙂 xx

All great tips! I am honestly quite nervous about everything opening up again. So far I have only seen one friend and I think it will remain like this for quite a while. Having a mask and sanitising makes me feel better when I have to go around. Can’t wait though to visit my parents back in Italy x

Keeping my distance from people is something I will definitely do when I start going out properly again, I hope that everyone will do the same also! Washing your hands is something that all of us should have taken on board by now, it’s weird to think that washing hands has become pivotal in our daily routine now, mind you, it should always have been anyway! x

Since returning back to my retail job, wearing masks and sanitising has become second nature to me. To be honest, it’s got to the point where I feel a bit panicked if I see a customer without a mask even if they are exempt. I am looking forward to getting back to the new normal but I’ll still be distancing and even wear a mask still. Thanks for sharing! X

The restrictions have been easing in Denmark as well but masks are still required to be worn & restaurants, museums, zoos & places like that require a negative covid test.
I have been sticking to the same sleeping schedule & it helps that my daughter is going to school in the mornings & I have Danish classes

What restrictions are they having up there? Here in US some states have lift the mask mandate so there is no more mask required but some business require customers to have masks on. Also, they are encouraging people to get the vaccine and with that, if you get the vaccine you are not required to put a mask on, which is crazy I think.
Keep yourself active is important, specially as you age.
